Unravelling the mysteries of plant-fungi interactions
In the Jones Mycro-Phytological Laboratory, we use modern scientific approaches to unravel the fascinating world of plant and fungal biology and address real world problems. This is achieved through a combination of fundamental scientific inquiry and applied research to solve real world problems. Our core focus is the development and applications of advanced biotechnological platforms to gain a deeper understanding of plant and fungal development. These new insights naturally support the development of new technologies with commercial application. As a result, the JMP lab has published extensively, filed multiple patents, and launched three startup companies.

Exploring the Benefits of Regulated Entheogenic Species
While we work with many different species of plant and fungi, we are uniquely equipped and experienced working with regulated entheogenic species such as Cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms. With our fully licensed and outfitted research lab, we are actively working with these valuable yet understudied species. Through collaborative research and development activities, we aim to support the development and safe adoption of these important crops.
